Of course, the financial aspect of the relationship is an important one and the outsourcer must be very sure about how much he intends spending on the whole venture. The amount must also be accepted and confirmed by the vendor before the deal is closed. Double checking the contract and all relevant documents can be nothing but beneficial to you.
Even after operations have begun it is of vital importance that you communicate regularly with your provider and take note of any problems your collaborator tries to bring to your notice. Take care to see that all such issues are addressed at the earliest, and that any problems are nipped in the bud.
It is a good idea to appoint some of your trusted employees to act as go betweens. This will speed up communications, help settle issues at the first level and leave more time and space for you to concentrate on other pressing issues.
It is also extremely important to see that you receive feedback regularly from your vendor and that you send him your feedback, too. This will help the provider understand how well he is faring and what still needs to be done to function well, to provide the required results and to make any necessary corrections or adjustments before things get out of hand.
It is also important to trust your provider and to let him know that you do. Absolute honesty with some trust and a good dose of common sense will go a long way in keeping your relationship with your partner on the right track.
